After-Party Day 8 – Otter Bay (Pender Island)

We were very concerned about the winds today since we needed to cross the Strait of Georgia again. The men discussed the weather reports and it actually sounded pretty calm out there so we decided to head out and see what it was like. We had a very nice crossing with no problems at all. We had a little rough water as we went through Porlier Pass but it was nothing for our boats.

This next stop was at Otter Bay on Pender Island. It is a small marina but with many amenities and is well maintained with attractive buildings and seating areas.

I was thrilled to discover that Otter Bay has internet that is just as good as we have at home. I was able to catch up on the last seven days of this blog. We didn't do much else here but read and catch a nap once in awhile. We had two early mornings that required alarm clocks so we could get where we needed to be and not get caught in bad weather or fast currents. Bob caught his nap while he was "reading".

Tonight we got together on Larry and Cheryl's boat for ice cream cones and then a rousing game of Mexican Train. Actually, it was one round of Mexican Train because we were all too tired to do much more.
