On Saturday we started our morning early with our 30 minute run/walk. Bob and I are doing a class at church called Run For God that is a combination Bible study and class on how to run. Holly Walker is teaching it and it goes for 12 weeks. At the end of the class we will be running in a 5K in Mukilteo - Run-A-Muk. So far we are doing good but it is a very slow progression to reach our goal of the 5K. Right now we are at a 5 minute warm up, 90 second jog, 2 minute walk (6 cycles) and then end with a 5 minute cool down. We found a good place to run that was one street off the main road through town. We did our run back and forth on a two block stretch. We had a nice view of the marina as we returned to the boat.
After our run we returned to Synnova for breakfast and then a walk into town with our friends to see the farmers' market. On our way there we saw some dear in someone's yard. We always enjoy seeing them but the locals have a very difficult time keeping them out of their yards. Our favorite booth at the market was the bakery (of course!) where we bought some cinnamon rolls for tomorrow as well as a loaf of cranberry/walnut bread and a cinnamon twist to eat right away. When we finished at the market we decided it would be fun to have lunch together at Sirens so we ended up there, too.
As we walked back to the marina we were fascinated with some of the costumes people were wearing for the Steam Punk Festival. It is held every year in Port Townsend and this was the second time we have been there while it was going in. We also went through a store that displays some old cars and sells vintage car items. It was a great old building and even smelled like a garage.
In the evening we had a potluck with all of EYC in the room above the marina. We had a great time visiting with everyone. The club provided fantastic barbecue from Drunky's Two Shoes in Seattle. It was SO good! After dinner we went to the Canons boat to visit and have, what else? Ice cream!
