Commodore's Cruise Day 10 - Vancouver (Quayside Marina)

We had a beautiful morning with some time to kill before we departed for Quayside so Dorothy, Abby and I went back out for some more geocaching. Bob went with us for awhile so he could get some pictures of us. Not only did we find another cache, we also found a little robin's egg.

On our way back to the marina I got a few nice pictures of Synnova and the marina.

We left Bowen Island and cruised over to Vancouver. It took us about two hours to get there since we were in no hurry and had decided on a nice leisurely cruise. Entering into the harbor in Vancouver is something else. It is so busy and there are many huge ships anchored there.

This afternoon we took Al and Sue with us to check out False Creek and the best way for us all to watch the fireworks tomorrow night. I tried to wear a hat to stay out of the sun and the first thing that happened was it blew off my head. I thought it was gone but when I turned around it was plastered to Al's chest. Nice catch, Al!

As we ran up the creek we determined that we will need to get past all the bridges in order to see the fireworks when they are shot off from the barge in the harbor. Some people plan to take their dinghies and others may walk. It is possible Ron and Denise will take NeaSea LaRae full of people to watch
the fireworks.

This evening we joined with the Colemans, Joneses, and Smiths and enjoyed dinner at Grandville Island at Bridges restaurant. It was a wonderful day for our first time at Quayside Marina.
