Today we traveled on to one of our favorite places - the Union Steamship Company Marina on Bowen Island in Snug Cove. I love the name Snug Cove because it describes this place perfectly.
We left Telegraph Harbor at 5:45am to get through Porlier Pass during slack tide. It can be a very rough ride but it was perfectly smooth and we were through before I realized we were even there.
We arrived at the marina about 10:00 although check-in wasn't until noon. The marina staff scrambled to make room for us and we all had slips in no time.
We had a very relaxing afternoon as I read my book and got in a little nap. Bob did some reading and had a good time chasing bugs with our new electronic bug zapper. It works great, by the way!
This evening everyone gathered on the dock for dinner and I got a few more pictures of the marina. I am glad we are staying here for two days. It is really nice to have nothing on the schedule so we can just visit, read and go for a walk.
