This was a cute little marina with a grocery, bakery, two-booth street fair (bead work and sarongs), a water taxi and a book and sweater shop. This is also the end of Hwy 101 and there was a marker for "Mile 0".
Sue has wanted to go to Lund for four years and we are finally here! Four years ago while we were in the Octopus Islands a couple had come by our boats in their dinghy. They invited us to their boat for appetizers and drinks. Of course, we could not say no to such a gracious offer so went that evening and had a wonderful time. On their boat they had a really cute art piece of a seal. It was just his head as if he was floating along in the water. She had gotten it at Lund so Sue was eager to go there and try to find one. She found her little seal that she named "Lucille" and found the perfect place for it on their boat. Unfortunately all my photos from today were lost on a bad camera disk so I don't have one of the artist working at her desk making another seal. Each one has a slightly different personality because each face is slightly different. They are so cute you just want to pet them! Sue had a card from the artist so I took another photo of that to promote her gallery and her art.
We had lunch at the pub today and then opted for dinner on our boats, Of course, that was followed up by ice cream on Jack and Moon's boat.
Bob and I did a little geocaching this evening and I found a cache large enough that I could drop off the travel bug I had found last summer. It originated in Sweden and has traveled over 17,000 miles. I found out that Jerome is also a geocacher but has over 600 finds (I only have about 80). He went out after me and found the cache and travel bug so will be dropping it off at a future location.
